About me
While living in a meditation center for many years, I learned from visitors from around the world that holistic health was and is a universal desire.
Now as a university professor, I learn that many of my students use a body-mind-spirit approach to health and wellness. Throughout our classes, they have reported that their self-care makes them better students, parents, citizens, and better people.
I felt it was time to share the information and key themes with others.
Self-care information is infinite. And I hope you will continue to research and learn and assemble this knowledge.
I have learned from them that each one has their own individual self knowledge.
There is an abundance of knowledge on the internet and I encourage everyone to search for knowledge. My goal is to give you a basic set of principles to simplify and sort this knowledge.
This is a possible framework for you to check self-care as you acquire knowledge.
To begin I will provide a narrative. Research confirms that a narrative can help one to remember.
I am writing for those who are already interested in self-care
My purpose is to encourage reflection.
I suggest keeping notes. That way you can do what works. And your changes.
I am writing for creatives and individuals who are self-starters.
Those who are interested in mindfulness.
Those who take responsibility for their own health.
If this blog is successful, I plan to create a journaling workbook that is specific to tracking your progress and your experiences of well being.

Apparently, hot flashes and other menopause symptoms aren’t normal!
During my own menopause I had difficulty staying asleep. This was very stressful during an already stressful time. I found that by eliminating sugar and alcohol these symptoms vanished. There was no gray area. No room for error. I had to be absolute about this.
At that time, the internet was still developing and there was not the overabundance of information online that there is now.
Dr. Berg nutritionist reports: If the adrenal glands are working as they should, a woman should not have those symptoms.

A great way to let go of the day by an evening ritual.
As Louise Hay would say, “ whether it was a good day or a bad day…It is over.!”
Release it and be ready for sleep.

At night putting my laptop to bed in a bookshelf creates space for a good night’s sleep.
